Beautiful golden-rose patina throughout, both sides are also possessed of full mint luster and sharp striking detail. With a limited mintage of 152,000 circulation strikes and relatively few examples included in modern repatriations of double eagles from foreign bank hoards, the 1915 is scarce in an absolute sense and rare in the finest Mint State grades. A find for the astute 20th century gold specialist.
