Lot 744 1911-D. PCGS graded MS-67.This is one of the absolute finest known of this early Denver issue of the Saint-Gaudens double eagles. The strike is sharp and complete, and the color is the classic orange-gold with tinges of greenish luster familiar to those who have seen a lot of gold coming out of Europe.
