1849 Gold Dollar. No L. MS-65 (PCGS). Open Wreath. This is the famous introductory variety without a designer's initial L (for Longacre) on the bust truncation. Obvious bold repunching on three obverse stars confirms the variety. A lustrous green-gold Gem with slight orange accents that boasts an intricate strike and impressively preserved surfaces.
