1861 Liberty Head Double Eagle. AU-58+ (PCGS). Even a nominal amount of friction is difficult to discern over the high points of this borderline-Uncirculated early twenty dollar. Mint luster is mostly undisturbed, particularly on the reverse, and the medium green-gold surfaces exhibit excellent preservation. Well-struck, if typically incomplete on some of the obverse stars.
