1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony Pine Tree Shilling. Large Planchet. W-760, Noe-11, Crosby 2a-A.1. Rarity-4. N's Reversed. VF-20 (NGC). Attractive light silver-gray with a touch of peripheral blue to add to the visual appeal. The strike is uneven as always seen, but the surfaces are generally clean when examined. One planchet flaw or striking defect is noted on the lower obverse and reverse. The engraver botched all the Ns on the dies, placing them all in the legends with their diagonals reversed.
