An attractive and brilliant PQ GEM example of this popular Buffalo issue. After a hiatus of 20 years the mint began striking Proofs for collectors again in 1936 and they were struck in both a Satin and Brilliant format, the Brilliant finish proving more popular. This one has great mirrors and bold flashy fields. The strike is crisp and full and the eye appeal is wonderful. PCGS 334, NGC 198, CAC 102. While the current CAC CPG value is $2,020 and the Collectors Universe value is $2,250, the most recent NGC/CAC example sold for $2,880 in August 2021.
