- 1722 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny. Martin 3.2-Bb.3, W-12670. Rarity-4. First Type, Harp at Left. AU-53 (PCGS). 118.5 grains. Attractive medium to dark brown throughout, with darker brown accenting the lettering and devices. No spots or corrosion issues here, and if one must fine fault there is a minor edge clip at the 11 o'clock position on the obverse. Rather sharp on the harpist's dress, with more definition than usually seen. Early die state, struck before any cracks, rust and crumbling appeared on the obverse or reverse. The surfaces are pleasing throughout.
