1802/1 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. B-3, BB-234. Rarity-3. BB Die State III. Wide Date. AU-53 (PCGS). Light silver with luster in the protected areas and a bright example for the date or variety collector. The strike is sharper than usually seen with the curls well defined. Minimal wear too, as the devices retain their definition and separation on the curls and eagle's breast feathers. All seen from these dies show the dramatic overdate with the 1 plainly visible beneath the 2 and a small raised die lump in the field before Liberty's eye. A few minor toning specks in the shield are noted to serve to identify this condition rarity.
