Lot Description

With lovely, iridescent toning in champagne-pink and powder blue on soft satin surfaces. With a respectable (for the type) mintage of 790,000 pieces, the 1874 is one of the more readily obtainable circulation strike nickel three-cent pieces in an absolute sense. On the other hand, few survivors can even approach the quality of the present upper end Gem.
