1897 Barber Half Dollar. MS-65 (PCGS). CAC. Intensely lustrous with a silky smooth satin texture, this otherwise untoned example is enhanced by champagne-apricot peripheral iridescence. Rare premium Gem quality for the conditionally challenging Barber half dollar series of 1892 to 1915, this is one of the finest survivors of the 2,480,000-piece circulation strike 1897 verified by CAC, and it is sure to sell for a strong premium.
