- 1783 Nova Constellatio Copper. Crosby 1-A, W-1860. Rarity-4. CONSTELLATIO, Pointed Rays, Large U.S. EF-40 (PCGS). Charming light brown surfaces and strong detail characterize this pleasing EF representative of a distinctive Nova Constellatio die pair. The 1783 Crosby 1-A dies show letters, numerals, and devices different from all other varieties in the series, though curiously are punch-linked to the 1783 Georgius Triumpho tokens. This specimen shows a notably good strike with full dentilation around the obverse and just slight weakness at the lower right reverse, as usual, due to die misalignment.
