1872/1 Round 25 Cents. BG-869. Rarity-4-. MS-64 (PCGS). OGH--Second Generation. 1820 Capped Bust Quarter. B-3. Rarity-3. Large 0. MS-64 (PCGS). One of the scarce overdates from this series, and the reverse die has special features too, as that die was used, then reannealed, reworked and rehardened for further coinage of this variety. Watery mirror fields on the obverse and reverse while the devices show three dimensional depth. Sharp save for the area opposite the lower right of the obverse, while the reverse sports a fine bisecting crack that extends vertically on that side. Strong eye appeal.
