Originally preserved in dominant sandy-gray patina, the upper obverse border is further enhanced by a blush of russet patina. Satiny luster is a bit subdued, but the overall composition here is better than we usually see for this challenging commemorative type at the Select Mint State grade level. Worthy of a close look, and also strong bids.
