1814 Classic Head Cent. S-294. Rarity-1. Crosslet 4. EF-40 BN (NGC). This is a handsome example bathed in a blend of copper-rose and golden-brown. Boldly defined from a nicely centered strike, the surfaces are uncommonly smooth with no significant post-production detractions. A thin planchet flaw on Liberty's cheek is as made and noted here solely for accuracy. Impressive and problem free EF quality for a large cent type that is typically offered in low grades with significant surface impairments. PCGS# 36520. NGC ID: 224Y.
