1889 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-66 Cameo (PCGS). A splendid example, both sides exhibit vivid peripheral toning in cobalt blue and pinkish-apricot. The centers are close to brilliant, allowing ready appreciation of a nicely cameoed finish. Fully struck, as befits the method of manufacture, and exceptionally well preserved in a survivor of this 711-piece Proof issue, most examples of which grade no finer than Choice. PCGS# 86450.
