Handsome Superb Gem 1909-D Quarter 1909-D Barber Quarter. MS-67 (PCGS). CAC. This richly original Superb Gem exhibits a seamless blend of frosty mint luster and predominantly olive-gray patina as well as iridescent highlights of reddish-rose and antique gold. Fully struck in most areas with a pristine appearance. The 1909-D, with a mintage of over five million coins, is widely regarded as a common date in most grades, although few Uncirculated survivors grade finer than MS-65.
