Lot Description

1868-G Octagonal 25 Cents. BG-745. Rarity-6-. Liberty Head. MS-63 (PCGS). This scarce type eluded discovery until at least the late 1960s, and possibly even the 1970s, at which time it was identified by David or Susan Doering. We offer here a shimmering prooflike example with a few blushes of rose-russet iridescence to otherwise medium-gold surfaces. Boldly struck, and revealing no abrasions of note. Finest certified at PCGS!
