Lot Description

No Panic Consignment. Mintage: 38,500. Exceedingly bright white surfaces almost have a dreamy semi-prooflike aspect about them, since the central motifs were delicately frosted by the underused dies. Some highly impressive proof strikings exist for 1875, and while this is not such a specimen, details appear to have been finely struck, with very slight loss of upper relief sharpness to circulation. Free from marks and certainly from any discoloration or stains.
