Lot Description

1722 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny. Martin 4.8-C.4, W-12810. Rarity-5. Second Type, Harp at Right. AU-50 (PCGS). CAC. Light golden tan surfaces exhibit a touch of chestnut here and there. Hard in-hand appearance only modestly altered under low magnification. Die rust prevalent throughout the reverse harp strings. Dies misaligned, Hibernia's head on the reverse points closer to 10 o'clock than 12 o'clock when the coin is turned on its horizontal axis. A pleasing coin all told. PCGS# 45378.
