Mintage: 5900. 24 graded MS-62, 28 higher at NGC. A paltry emission for circulation strike gold dollars in 1869 makes it a rare item across all grade levels, taking into account regrades and upgrade attempts at the major grading services. Many appear fully prooflike and this example retains hints of flashy texture within the fields, despite overall abrading that takes away some vibrancy.
