For a connoisseur of wonderful, original silver coins, along comes this 1839 "no drapery" half-dollar that oozes vintage dove-grey patina and original appeal. This is about as nice as it is possible for VF-30 to get! Exceedingly light, occasional contact marks appear here and there, but all are toned in along with the rest of the surface, rendering them nearly invisible. A coin that could practically serve as the model for vintage silver.
