The Never-To-C.A.C. Collection. 4 graded MS-63+, 54 higher at PCGS. A larger mintage of 836,500 pieces belies the scarcity today of the 1908-D, which is summarily reflected in the population report. It tends to be one of the prettier Indians issued, this being a delightful, vintage example with butter-gold patina and velvety mint frost. The obverse appears to grade MS-64+ given there are no abrasions on the cheek, but PCGS may have compromised after noticing some sharper abrasions to the right of the eagle's head.
