1774 Machin's Mills Halfpenny. Vlack 7-74A, W-7770. Rarity-6-. GEORGIUS III. VG-10. 140.43 grains. Deep golden-tan with uniform microporosity on both sides. Numerous scratches come to light at the center on both sides when viewed under low magnification; no substantial marks greet the naked eye other than some minor planchet voids present when struck. A rare variety that features the only obverse with a U in place of the customary V in GEORGIVS. PCGS# 942. Provenance: Paper envelope with attribution notes included.
