The toning is certainly superior for a Washington quarter, especially an early date example, with gently mottled reddish-russet, antique gold and powder blue iridescence around the peripheries. Otherwise dusted with pale silvery tinting, both sides are further enhanced with billowy mint luster in a softly frosted texture. The surfaces are virtually pristine, and the strike is sharply executed with crisp definition to even the most intricate design elements.
