1844-D Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. Winter 5-H. VF-35 (NGC). A bright golden example with warmer honey-olive color evident as the surfaces turn away from direct lighting. Plenty of bold to sharp detail remains in the recesses of the major design elements, the surfaces with no notable marks for a Dahlonega Mint gold coin that saw moderate commercial use.
