Description du lot: A marvelous SUPERB GEM from one of the more famous sets of Barber quarters ever assembled. It is not a shock as to why it has now been in two GREAT collections--it is THAT high end! The toning on both sides is a marvel to behold! Clearly this coin sat for ages wrapped in tissue and then placed into an old collector envelope. You can see the tiny folds from the tissue impressed in the toning as subtle breaks in the color. Coppery-orange-rose color blends with a slate-blue, icy lilac, and rosy-pewter. The hues are vividly brought to life by a strong satin-like mint frost that glows from below the color. Even using a strong glass, we are unable to locate a single flaw or any area of striking weakness. You cannot beat the eye appeal! PCGS 5, NGC 2, CAC 5. Just two in MS67+ are graded finer. This coin last sold in our January 2019 Regency Auction for $8,519. The current CAC CPG value is $9,060. Bound for another WORLD CLASS Barber quarter set.
