- 1866 Pattern Seated Liberty Dollar. Judd-541, Pollock-606. Rarity-6-. Proof-64 BN (PCGS). Regular die trials striking of the 1866 Seated Liberty Silver Dollar, struck in copper with a reeded edge.<br /> Off-metal Silver Dollar strikings of the Judd-541 type are thought to have been produced expressly for sale to contemporary collectors. Survivors are rare, the present example being the first one that this cataloger can recall handling in many years. Richly toned in orange-copper patina, both sides are sharply struck and quite smooth.
