1838 Seated Liberty Dime. Fortin-108a. Partial Drapery. MS-66 (PCGS). This is one of the top 100 varieties in the Seated Dime series, per the website seateddimevarieties.com by Gerry Fortin. Here represented by a conditionally rare Gem, this coin is a truly delightful example that is sure to elicit strong bids from Seated Dime specialists. Both sides are bathed in vibrant satin-to-softly frosted luster, the obverse brilliant and the reverse with a further veil of champagne-apricot iridescence. Sharply struck, smooth and high in the Condition Census for the Fortin-108a Partial Drapery variety.
