1848 Braided Hair Cent. N-41. Rarity-1. Grellman Die State B. MS-66 RB (NGC). This splendid Gem boasts dominant pinkish-red luster with only minimal lilac-brown patina scattered about. The coin is well struck for an 1840s large cent, the centers sharp and even the peripheries and borders displaying considerable boldness of detail. With no detracting blemishes, the desirability of this piece for high grade type, date or variety purposes is assured.
