1823 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-105. Rarity-1. MS-63 (PCGS). CAC. Golden-gray patina dominates both sides with olive-blue peripheries offering visual contrast. Rotating the coin under a light reveals moderate cartwheel luster as well. Sharply struck devices are the rule here, and close inspection with a glass reveals no areas of concern. Though a Mint State 1823 can be located without too much trouble, collectors will be hard-pressed to match the eye appeal and technical quality seen here at the Choice Mint State level.
