- 1857 Flying Eagle Cent. S-7, FS-403 (FS-004). Obverse Die Clashed with Liberty Double Eagle. Fine-12 (PCGS). A very popular variety among specialized Flying Eagle Cent collectors, the obverse die of Snow-7 clashed with the obverse die of a Liberty Double Eagle. Clashmarks from the gold coin design are evident near the right-obverse border, and they remain bold on the present example despite the presence of moderately heavy wear. Blended tan-brown and gray-brown patina to both sides, the major design elements well defined in all areas save for at the obverse border above the eagle.
