Description du lot

1786 Vermont Copper. RR-9, Bressett 7-F, W-2040. Rarity-4. Baby Head. VF-20. 124.4 grains. Deep chocolate-brown with uniform microgranularity throughout. Obverse nicely centered, rim to top of VE, natural planchet flaws, as struck, at effigy's shoulder, some lightness in the legend, reverse off-center to the bottom, rim through date numerals, planchet flaw and lamination at rim above NDE, no other marks of moment. The Baby Head variety is known for rough and unattractive surfaces, but that never stopped a true collector of the Vermont copper series. PCGS# 548.
