Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-117. Several small diagnostics ascribe to this rather common die-marriage, including a filled "A" beginning AMERICA, a short, stubby and un-recut flag atop "5" in the denomination, and most distinctive, a scribe line beneath most of the date. Pristine luster elevates the eye-appeal even if it has become a bit obscured by coral-gold and beige-grey patina. Central details were decently struck although the stars, as is often seen, show only partial sharpness.
