Lot Description

Bold, watery, brilliant mirrors flash and gleam with a marvelous watery reflection on both sides. The obverse devices are thickly frosted that stand out with a bold contrast. There is a faint blush of the clearest gold tone that attests to the originality of this CAMEO GEM! Only 600 Proofs were struck. PCGS 17, NGC 17, CAC 9. The last example to sell realized $1,116 in our July 2017, that was over four years ago! Clearly these are not as common as the modest published price guide values would suggest, PCGS lists a value of $1,250. Scarce finer. Cert. Number 83937296 PCGS # 83823.00
