Description du lot: The K.C. Collection. 17 graded MS-65 PL, 6 higher at PCGS. VAM-2, the famous 7/6 overdate. If you have sharp eyes, then a bright lamp is all that is required to view the remnants of the overstruck "6" in the date, thanks to a nice early die-state (also responsible for the "prooflike" status). VAM-2 is scarce enough as it is, but prooflike specimens are downright rare, most especially at or above the "gem" level. Faint bronzing of the obverse left field spills over onto the cheek, while the reverse boasts a vivid, thin arc of rainbow hues over the top of the eagle's motif.
