1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 38-l.2, W-4200. Rarity-4. Draped Bust Left, AUCIORI. EF-40. 134.26 grains. Deep chestnut-brown with golden-tan high points. Obverse perfectly centered, tiny central pecks noted, in the planchet when struck, otherwise no significant marks, die crack from final punctuation to a point below the shoulder, reverse rim through date numerals, die crack downward across Liberty's face, no other marks seen. An absolutely choice example of this popular die pairing, with details that define the grade within the type. PCGS# 373. Provenance: Paper envelope with attribution notes included.
