As with the other issues in the 1879 to 1891 date run, the 1888 is associated with a low mintage circulation strike issue and also ranks as one of the more popular Proof Liberty Seated half dollars. Richly toned over both sides in multicolored iridescent hues, a perfect selection for the toning enthusiast. This is a conditionally scarce Gem from a mintage of 832 Proofs.
