1881 Gold Dollar. MS-67 (PCGS). A gorgeous Superb Gem, this golden-rose example is fully struck with smooth, softly frosty surfaces. This issue boasts a limited mintage of 7,620 circulation strikes. Thanks to widespread hoarding among contemporary numismatists, the 1881 gold dollar is a much more obtainable issue in Mint State than the mintage might imply.
