1863 Silver Three-Cent Piece. Proof-66 (PCGS). CAC. This wonderfully original specimen exhibits blended charcoal-blue and olive-copper patina on the obverse, with dominant steel-blue on the reverse yielding to olive-gold and salmon-pink in the center. Highly reflective, the surfaces are sharply struck, expertly preserved and supremely attractive. Among the finest certified from a mintage of just 460 Proofs for this challenging Civil War era date, and sure to see spirited bidding from discerning numismatists.
