Description du lot: Ex Pacific Rim Collection, as noted on the holder. WOW! This GEM has ultra deep, flashy fields that are blinding in their reflection. The dies were very heavily polished, you can tell from the long, snake like lint mark on the left reverse rim. The sharply struck devices are fully frosted and stand out with a visually stunning contrast to the depth of the surrounding fields. A minor planchet flaw is seen on the reverse, which may be why CAC did not approve this coin, as none of the minor lines are inappropriate for the assigned GEM grade. PCGS 10, NGC 28. The last example sold for $5,040 and prior to that, two sold in 2015 for $6,169. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $7,500 and no PCGS-graded example has sold in the current decade.
