- 1859 Liberty Quarter Eagle. Type II Reverse. MS-63 (NGC). Intricately defined from a sharply executed strike, scintillating satin luster further enhances already strong eye appeal. A rose-gold beauty with no individually distracting abrasions to report. The lowest-mintage Philadelphia Mint Quarter Eagle that dates to the 1850s, the 1859 (39,364 pieces produced) is scarce in all grades and rare-to-very rare in Mint State.
