This elegant Gem Proof exhibits soft powder blue and lilac-rose undertones to warm steel-olive and mauve-gray patina. Strike detail is razor sharp to full throughout, and pleasingly reflective qualities can be discerned in the fields as the coin rotates under a light. A mere 1,097 trade dollars were coined during the year, all Proofs made to accommodate coin collector demand.
