1819/8 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-104. Rarity-1. Large 9. MS-61 (PCGS). This lovely example possesses full satin to softly frosted luster to smartly impressed features. Otherwise brilliant, wisps of iridescent reddish-gold are confined to a few peripheral areas. Generally smooth in hand, there is much to recommend this coin for a higher grade. Desirable and scarce Mint State preservation for this popular overdate variety from the early Capped Bust half dollar series. Provenance: From the Greenway Collection.
