A perilously meager quantity of 1869 2-cents pieces qualify for this grade level and besides lofty technical excellence, the surfaces fall tantalizingly close to utterly full red mint color. Design elements have been boldly rendered and immaculately struck on both sides without reservation. The cataloger could find absolutely no mentionable contact on either side, nor are there carbon flecks or distractions of any kind. A fabulous proof type coin with few peers within the series.
