Ex Fox, as noted on the insert. Doubtless one of the FINEST 1938 Walkers that survives! PCGS has graded only a single MS68 finer after 36+ years of certifying coins! Essentially untoned, there is a soft iridescent frosty white tone that is enhanced by a bold and brilliant satin luster with a pearly texture. Needle sharp motifs exhibit all of the essential details desired by collectors such as the full separation of the thumb and hand, strong skirt lines and bold feathers on the eagle’s leg. Of course this stunning SUPERB GEM had to be in a top set. It is a near miss MS68 for sure! The eye appeal is AMAZING! PCGS 175, NGC 49, CAC 49. There are 16 graded MS67+ at PCGS and just a single example finer. Over the years we have sold a half dozen examples, with prices ranging from $8,225 to $10,869. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $11,000. The sole MS68 that PCGS has graded higher has been off the market for over a decade and is not CAC approved.
