Description du lot
1870-CC Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-5. Rarity-6. Good-4 (PCGS). Light golden-gray patina supports glints of warmer steel and russet. The rims are largely indistinct, as befits the assigned grade, but all devices are well outlined and fully appreciable. First of the Carson City Mint half dollars and also the rarest, the 1870-CC represents a significant find at all levels of preservation. From a scant mintage of 54,617 pieces, the vast majority of which have long since been lost to commercial use. PCGS# 6328. NGC ID: 24K2. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
