Subtle shades of blue, antique grey and rose are fired by underlying luster.  The surfaces are virtually free of contact marks.  The square-base `20 over `19 in choice AU is a prize for advanced collectors.  It is distinctly tougher to find than its curl-base counterpart.  CAC has approved only 3 examples graded AU 58, half the number of curl-base overdates.  Last seen in Legend’s New Orleans Regency Sale XVII, May 2016, lot 200 as “O.101a.”  It brought $4,852.50. Est. $4,500 to $5,500.
