- The teens decade of San Francisco bison nickels saw coins with very decent strikes, and that holds true here given the bold, rounded horn, precisely etched tail, and virtually full details at the bison's head. The Indian's braid displays perhaps minor weakness, while his portrait overall is handsomely and accurately sculpted. Fields are beautifully textured and the entire coin shimmers with khaki-nickel hue.
