Rare Aluminum 1870 Standard Silver Half Dime Pattern Judd-813, High Rarity-7 1870 Pattern Half Dime. Judd-813, Pollock-902. Rarity-7+. Aluminum. Reeded Edge. Proof-65 Cameo (PCGS). CAC. Barber's seated Liberty left, olive branch in left hand, right hand rests on shield draped with ribbon reading LIBERTY in raised letters, pole and cap behind, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around, date below, reverse with STANDARD at top, cereal wreath at center, 5 / CENTS within on two lines. Interestingly enough, the design features no stars. Bright silver-gray frosted motifs and richly mirrored fields form a stark cameo contrast on this tiny but exciting pattern rarity. The uspatterns.comwebsite suggests fewer than a half dozen examples of Judd-813 are known. The present specimen is the only Cameo Proof of the issue certified by PCGS within any grade.A rare opportunity -- as rare as the pattern itself -- is presented herein for your bidding pleasure. PCGS# 501760. Provenance: Ex: Simpson Collection. PCGS Ppoulation: 1; no others of any grade within the Cameo Proof designation.
