1821 Matron Head Cent. N-2. Rarity-1. EF-45 BN (NGC). Pleasing dark brown and steel with smooth surfaces. A nice example of the date, one of the more challenging of the series, usually placed behind only 1823 in rarity among the Matron Heads. Some scattered contact points, including a dull nick or two on Liberty's cheek. A worthy example for a date set. Provenance: From the Michael Mann Type Collection. PCGS# 1621. NGC ID: 2258.
